Eye Lid Rejuvenation
Jonathan C. Lowry, M.D. at Morganton Eye Physicians is pleased to offer advanced blepharoplasty surgery to give the eyes a more youthful look by removing excess skin, fat, and lax muscles from the upper and lower eyelids.
Excessive skin around the eyes can now be treated with the remarkable technology of the CO2 laser, which allows precise surgical control, faster healing, and beautiful results. If desired, laser skin resurfacing can be performed in conjunction to enhance the overall effect of eyelid rejuvenation (blepharoplasty).
Discomfort is generally mild. Non-aspirin pain relievers are usually all that is necessary following an eyelid rejuvenation procedure. Aspirin products, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications like ibuprofen, and other blood thinners should be avoided before and after surgery.
