Dr. Salisbury earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Centenary College in Shreveport, L.A. He graduated from Tulane University Medical School in 1977 and completed an internship in medicine the following year. Dr. Salisbury received his specialty training in ophthalmology at Duke University and his board certification from the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1983.
Dr. Salisbury is a member of the North Carolina and Burke County Medical Societies. He started his private practice in 1982 and joined Morganton Eye Physicians, P.A. in 1989.
Dr. Salisbury is married to Jan Salisbury and has two adult children, Lauren and Barrett. He is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Morganton. In his free time he enjoys tennis, rowing, and art. He is a member of several tennis associations including, the USPTA, USRSA, and USTA.
