Optometrist
Dr. Tatum was born and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. She graduated from Appalachian State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Biology, pre-med and continued on to attend Southern College of Optometry graduating in 2015 with her Doctorate of Optometry degree.
Dr. Tatum has worked in all settings of different practices including private practice, corporate practice, optometrist/ophthalmologist practice and academia during her optometric career. She has a special interest in ocular disease and dry eye treatment and management. When not practicing, she likes to read articles, listen to webinars, and attend continuing education events in order to enhance her knowledge of eye conditions. She feels comfortable taking care of patients of all ages!
Dr. Tatum is married and has one son. She and her family love being outdoors as much as possible, enjoying activities such as hiking and kayaking. Dr. Tatum and her husband also enjoy playing music together as a hobby.
